My “Magic” Secret to Fat Loss
February 9th, 2008 | by Lisa |What’s the best way to lose fat? That’s the million dollar question! And I have found the answer, at least for my body that is! In the past, I have tried running, aerobics classes, lifting weights, riding the stationary bike, you name it. It wasn’t until about two years ago when I found the answer.
It’s not a pill, or a diet, or even a medical procedure. It’s something called HIIT training. HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training.

The best thing about HIIT is that it actually will boost your metabolism and allow you to continue burning fat for hours after you stop working out. If your metabolism is genetically designed to run at the pace of a snail on sleeping pills (like mine is), HIIT will change everything!
So read the article, and try to put your skepticism aside. I was a huge skeptic, until I tried. I lost more fat doing this, than anything else I have ever tried.

I no longer fit in my jeans so I’m starting to consider ending my 5 year hiatus from working out. Knowing me, I plunged right in and did not take things slowly. SO — I did HIIT on the bike last night at home, for the first time ever in my life. I only made it through 3 cycles before almost passing out. The result: I felt nauseous for the next 45 minutes, I could not make it down the stairs and I ate more than I usually eat for dinner and then felt fully digested and was hungry for more about 1.5 hrs later. That means only one thing: IT WORKS!!!!! The fact I also woke up this morning and was FAMISHED can mean that my metabolism kept going over night. This rocks (though I am having serious trouble walking today).
